Rooted in Tradition
This new series explores the relationship between photography, landscape, and the traditions of Chinese landscape painting. Using photographs I take myself, I construct digitally composed images that reinterpret the spatial relationships, shifting perspectives, and expansive vision of ancient Chinese scrolls. These works trade mountains, water and trees for something closer to home—the textures, rhythms and visual noise of Hong Kong’s streets.
