Quiet.Eye.Art - Hong Kong

Rooted in Tradition

Rooted in the tradition of Chinese ink painting, these works trade mountains, water and trees for something closer to home—the textures, rhythms, and visual noise of Hong Kong's streets.

Some pieces echo the quietness of ancient scrolls, borrowing their warmth and grain. Others lean into the city's louder frequencies: the flat geometry of screen printing, the dot-patterns of half-tone, the colour palette of advertisements and anime that colour daily life here. Old methods, new surroundings.
